More About You Mondays

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. I first wanted to thank you for your comments in response to last Mondays question. You are all so amazing, and I am so happy to have this little corner of the world to let it all out!! I appreciate that when I do share the good, the bad, and the ugly, I have people like you, who are nothing, but supportive, uplifting, and kind.

I honestly only started this blog to keep my family, and friends updated when I wasn't able to individually. I never intended for it to go much beyond that. I must admit, often times, I feel our story has overrun its course, and I should stop the blog, and keep a private journal. Every time I seriously think, "it's time," you have a way of bringing me back, and showing me what a beautiful relationship we have together.

Okay, so lately I have been hoarding pictures. Not on purpose, but simply because I have been busy. I have so many to share with you, and just spent the last hour putting them on my desktop. I am not even done, and this is what my screen looks like....

YIKES! How am I going to post all of these pictures without it being overwhelming? Are you even interested in seeing all of these? There is an important lesson to be learned from all of this....don't let this happen again ;o)

Within Oprah's magazine, she writes,

Oprah says, "we are all the causes of our own effects...that's why I'll never stop asking the question, "What do you know for sure?" I love this, and was reminded of it recently by my friend Cameo.

So today's question is....

What do you know for sure?

  1. Good question.
I know for sure that my husband and children love me.
I know for sure that I am working hard to be the best Mummy I can be.
I know for sure that chocolate tastes good!

  2. Honestly,

This questions always gets to me because I rack my brain trying to think of even just ONE thing that I absolutely know for sure and I always come to the same conclusion.
The only thing I know for sure is that I know nothing.

  3. I know that you are a strong, kind, and amazing person.
I know that I love my son more than anything in this world.
Death and Taxes are the only other things that I know for sure.

  5. Excellent choice, Jen!

The only thing that I know for sure is that I don't and I'm probably not meant to, both metaphorically in the larger sense and in our everyday lived realities. And isn't there something so wonderful about that?

  7. Oh, this is a good one.

    Let's see...

I know for sure that I spend way too much time on the computer.

    The End.

Ha! Kidding. Well, not really, but let's continue....

I know for sure that I was meant to be a Mommy.
I know for sure that the Program was the best for our daughter.
I know for sure that having a good, stable marriage takes work.
I know for sure that all the hard work in marriage is worth it!
I know for sure that leaving the kitchen if only for a minute while nine kids are eating cake at the table is a bad idea.
I know for sure that nine kids can destroy a house in less than five minutes, but yet nine kids can also clean a house in less than five minutes, too, and that's important to remember!

and lastly, I know for sure that I've been blessed by knowing you through the blogging world, and I hope to meet you face to face one day :)

  8. I know for sure that LOVE is a verb acted out in small ways everyday.

I know for sure that there is a God that is watching out for me, loves me, and hates evil.

I know for sure that why a 20 year old thinks life is going to look like is wrong.

I know for sure that animals bring happiness.

I know for sure that children are a gift from God and make people better people. Or, that I am sure it is SUPPOSED to work that way.

I know for sure that a strong marriage is a foundation upon which future generations will benefit but that marriage is hard work everyday.

I know for sure that kids need to know they are loved unconditionally, no matter what, 24/7/365.

(and, I know purple is the prettiest color, Guatemala is the most beautiful country in the world, coffee is God's kindness in a cup, and tattoos are for everyone ;)

  9. One more thing:

I know FOR SURE that if you stop blogging you will be kidnapped, tied to a computer, and forced to type your thoughts, post your pictures, and vent when you need too.
