More About You Mondays

Last weeks question was much too hard to answer. So here is a small list of some of my favorite songs....

For this week, I am wondering the difference between what you thought your life would be, and what it is? How do you handle the difference between the two?

  1. I don't even know where to start on that one. My life would be different if it had gone according to plan...much different. I've accepted that this may not have been my plan, but there is reason behind it all. I wouldn't have been off work after surgery and met your beautiful daughter had life gone according to plan.

  2. My life didn't go as planned...but I am ok with that. I like where it has ended up so far. I didn't plan to move to Philly, to end up with a career instead of a job, to have a child at all, let alone a little beauty from Taiwan...I never saw any of this in my future. I like it all though :-) I feel very blessed.

  3. Would you be shocked to know I NEVER had a plan?

    I had a BIG PICTURE but never a plan.....sigh
I always just figured I'd have what I need when I needed it....be where I'm supposed to be when I'm supposed to be there.....and get to where I'm going whenever I arrived.

So far it seems to be working.... And yes I am getting ready to embark on yet another adventure :) ....stay tuned

  4. As a child, my plan was to have my prince whisk me away to live happily ever after in his castle. As a teenager, I wanted to go to college and have a great paying job and still look for that prince. Well, I got discouraged with college and dropped out but I did happen to meet my prince, no castle, just an apartment. I had 2 daughters and went back to work when they were teens. I thought I would stay at my job until I retired but after 15 years, I lost that job because the owners wanted to make way for their extended family members who needed jobs. After 2 years I'm still looking for work (not very hard though), the girls have graduated from college, we bought a smaller house and my prince is still here after 30 years.

I'm not sure I really looked beyond that castle but I'm in a pretty good place right now. Now if I can only find a low pressure job that I can retire from in 10 years would just be dandy.

  5. Well, I can't really help you here. My plan is going as planned, for the most part. I guess if my plan went off the deep end, I would just make a new plan and find happiness. I make it sound easy don't I? :)
