2 Years Ago Today....
We were on our way to Guatemala to pick up our little pumpkin!
Tomorrow is the BIG day, the 2 year anniversary of us meeting Aviana for the first time. Some call it "Gotcha Day" or "Adoption Day" some call it "Forever Family Day" Isn't it crazy, after 2 years, I still don't know exactly what I want to call it?!?! It will come to me...someday!
I am ready, I have my post all ready to go and am just simply putting the finishing touches on it :o)

Congratulations on this sweet Anniversary! I hope you have a lovely day celebrating with your little girl! I'm praying for you!
ReplyDeleteBob and I so thank you for sharing your "Pumpkin" with us ... in blogs, and all the wonderful photos you supply. Being separated by many miles, the photos you share makes us feel as though we're right there with you. Please know, in our hearts we are! Much love to all of you ... Marcia & Bob
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I found your site, but I've read it through and my heart goes out to you and your family and Aviana. I am praying for her and you all.
ReplyDeleteJen - I call it the Anniversary of the Day Maya joined our family. The day means so much and ours is one day after yours - July 18th. I can hardly wait to read your post celebrating two years with your beautiful Aviana.
ReplyDeleteHappiest of Gotcha Days. A friend forwarded your blog to me after Aviana's accident and I check daily to check her progress. I'm praying for her complete recovery like so many others. Our 2 year gotcha day is approaching as well on August 2. Such a special day!! Thanks for sharing your little one and her strength with us. We're thinking of you in Maryland.

Happy forever family day! or however you want to call it. I am praying for your baby all the way from Guate. God Bless you and your family :)
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary. I have changed what I call it every year. Family Day, Lily Day, Forever and ever Day. I figure Lily will pick one she likes best someday. So give that girl a big smooch from her friend Lily and Happy Avi Day.
ReplyDeleteMy birthday is July 17, is that the day you got Aviana. Wow I keep telling everyone the best birthday gift I could have gotton this year was the way we felt the weekend of the yard sale. It was the most loving feeling in the world beside holding all the little ones. Now we are connected by a date. It is a small and amazing life. I hope all is well. I come we can come visit with Avi once the okay is given.

ReplyDeletehappy 2nd gotcha day!!!! praying for your sweet girl
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog today. I am so sorry for what has happened to your beautiful little girl. My son was fatally injured in a motorcylce accident on June 20th and died on Father's Day, June 21st. My family will pray for yours.
ReplyDeleteHappy forever family day!
ReplyDeleteYour Aunt Paula told me about your little Aviana and I have been reading your blog. I was at the scene of the accident after the ambulance was gone. I saw the car that hit Aviana. I didn't know who was hit until about two weeks later when I was talking to your Aunt Paula. We have put Aviana on the Temple prayer roll and we will continue to remember you all in our prayers. We have a good friend whose son suffered a fractured skull in a skate boarding accident and he was in a coma for a long time and nearly died. He had a full recovery and is healthy and normal today. They live in Granite Bay. I know that miracles can happen and we need to put our faith and trust in the Lord. Thank you for writing your blog each day so that more people can pray for Aviana's recovery.
