Award

Trina from They All Call Me Mom gave me this Stylish Blogger Award!!
Thank you Trina!
I love your blog too!

The rules of the Stylish Blogger Award are:
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them in your post.
Share seven things about yourself.
Award seven recently discovered new blogs.
Contact these bloggers and let them know they've received the award.

I am going to keep this lighthearted, because many things in my life are not ;o)

So here are 7 things about me!

1. My 'go to' snack when I am ravenously hungry is croutons dipped in salad dressing. This combination hits the spot like no other.

2. Rainy, windy, snowy, stormy days, full of thunder, lightning, or hail are my very favorite. When days like these present themselves, I feel most alive!

3. I love music more than I can venture to explain. What I can actually put into words, barely scratches the surface of what I really feel.

4. When I look into any animals eyes, I feel a strong connection. I feel I know them on an intensely deep level.

5. I left my heart in Lake Tahoe. I wish I could drop everything and move there today. The feeling grows stronger, and stronger with each passing day.

6. While making chocolate chip cookies, I got my hair caught in a Kitchen Aid Mixer. The incident resulted in a huge bald spot. Luckily it was the 80's when it happened, and I could wear my hair in a side ponytail everyday ;o)

7. Many times a day, I stop and think how blessed I am to have so many wonderful family members, and friends!

The 7 blogs I am giving this award to are....

And two more for good measure....

I've never been one to completely follow the rules.

You may remember, I love games. Especially, games where I can learn more about others. I would love to hear 7 things back about all of you ;o)

  4. Oh goodness - I laughed out loud at your Kitchen Aid mixer comment - how bad did that hurt? And how long did it take for your hair to grow back in? And thank goodness it was the 80's!

  6. I will play!
    1. I moved onto the same street as my future husband the summer before 8th grade. I had no interest in him whatsoever until our Junior year summer when it hit me like a ton of bricks. Been together ever since.
    2. I think Disney World is THE happiest place on Earth and when I see children crying or pouting there it makes me want to scream-"You are in F'in Disney World!" Which is inappropriate, I know. I am usually a really calm, rationale person.
    3. As a 14 year old I was a HUGE New Kids on the Block fan, still am:)Just by accident that summer we were on a vacation in NY and pulled up to a hotel where they happen to be staying! Of course we just rode the Maid of the Mist boat ride in Niagra Falls earlier that day and smelled of fish water. We did get cleaned up and had a great experience.
    4. I was Homecoming Queen and Prom Queen in high school. As was my mom and cousin.
    5. I was a first grade teacher for two years before I had my son, who is now 8. I always said that I will go back to work when my kids are in first grade. My daughter is now in preschool, so I only have an excuse for the next year and a half. Unless I have more kids...hmmm.
    6. Right after high school I went on a Florida vacation with my parents and boyfriend/now husband. I came down with the chicken pox on that trip and parasailed with calamine lotion all over my body.
    7. I have one sister who is 14 months older than me, who growing up we used to physically fight daily. Now we are best friends and live 3 minutes away from each other.

Jen, I wanted to let you know that my Dad passed away on Feb. 12th. It is a little confusing communicating through your blog. But I think that you were aware, so I wanted you to know.
