Up in The Sky, Look!!

It's a bird!

It's a plane!

It's SuperAvi!!

Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to soar higher than any plane, this amazing girl from the planet Hodder, The Girl of Steel: SuperAvi!! Possessing remarkable physical strength, SuperAvi fights the never-ending battle of brain-injury, disguised as Aviana Reese Hodder, a mild-mannered little girl.

This is Aviana's newest therapy endeavor. Dave built it in the therapy room in the garage.

How cute, Rainey looks concerned for her little friend.

I laid on the floor, underneath her, and took these pictures.  I couldn't get over how cute she looked.

She loves her time in this device, but the seated position is her least favorite.

Just hanging around.

I was trying to show the swinging motion in the above pictures ;o)

After we were done, she lifted her head, and was staring a hole into something in particular.

Her anti-gravity suit ;o)

My mom affectionately calls her new device a 'Slingshot.'

  1. I wanna turn! Seriously! It would cure my back problems. On a bright note...when she is in that suit...great head/neck control Avi!!! I love the look of despise at the end. No doubt her "diva" was not damaged :)

  2. This was Audriana's FAVORITE therapy!! She loved the anti-gravity program. We would sling-shot her around, back and forth, up and down, side to side -- she loved it. Does Avi like it when she's sling-shotting around? up and down? side to side? I can see that just sitting there she doesn't like it, but what about when it's actually in motion? This is a great therapy. After we did this for about 3 or 4 months, we finally saw some improvement in her balance and coordination. It took time...didn't happen right away...but the improvement came. It was a nice therapy because at least she had fun with it. (unlike some of the others, like the floor therapy or patterning, which she complained about) Did you just start this therapy? Do you also do the rolling one, where she is upon a board and then you tilt the board so that she rolls down it? Audriana also loved that one, but it was very hard on ME to lift that board 50 times a day. I was pregnant with Alex at the time. Lucky for me I was still in my late 20's and could handle that, even while pregnant! Now? I think that would just about do me in, LOL.

  3. Oh wow, that is quite the device! It does look fun and like it would help too. She looks adorable, even when she isn't that happy :-)
