Girls, Girls, Girls

We had three of our nieces spend the night last weekend. I'll let the pictures tell the story of our time together =D

There is a girl sleeping under there ; D

I found this the next morning, and asked "What's this?" They said, we were going to make lemonade at 3:30am.
Ironic? I think so.

While we had a great time with our girls, I was also quickly reminded of what I am not capable of. Sadly, I have found that I do not have the energy to do this on a regular basis, or to that extreme :-/

I am stretched so thin, that I don't have any reserve.

I had to take a look at myself, and understand that we are not a normal family, and we cannot do what normal families do.

  1. My heart continues to hurt for you. I'm so sorry for lack of "normalcy" in your life. And while it might sound like a crock of cr*p, what the h3ll is "normal" anyhow. . .I just want to reach out and give you a big hug. I appreciate your honesty, how "truefaced" you are. You're real. You also deserve grace, and peace in your heart. Praying that peace will find you.

  2. Jen, I will noy say I know anyone who has a more time-consuming life than yours. But just to add some humor...those pictures make me freak out a bit, because if I am expected to do that in the near future with my family members, who are all healthy and well...ummm heck no! Give yourself LOTS of credit! You get out of bed each day, you do what you need to do, you try what is optional, but you LOVE the entire time. You are still doing more than I could ever imagine.

  3. I despise sleepovers of any and all nature!!

They are too disrupting to our 'normal' routine ... can't imagine the spiral it would send your schedule into!

Kudos to you for giving it a shot. Now, do NOT carry guilt over the fact that you are NORMAL..ya hear?!

  4. Jen, we're worn out with ONE niece spending the night. Yep, three adults here. Seriously! Don't feel bad about that.

  5. I am once again reminded of how truly brave you are in so many ways Jen! With regard to your visitors: They came, they saw, they conquered and then thankfully they went home!!! People who can handle that aren't normal, they just overachievers. There is no such thing as "normal" anymore anyway! Sending you lots of (((HUGS))) you deserve them!!!!

  6. Jen and Dave,
Those pictures were very sweet for 2 of those girls are my granddaughters whom I don't even get to see much of. It looks like all of you had a great time. I am so glad they are there to cheer you guys up. I know I don't write much on here but that doesn't mean I don't read your posts. But now that I know you're on facebook "LOOK OUT" lol. We love you guys and pray for all 3 of you all the time.

    Lots of Love
    Becci and Angela
