A Day In The Life~ Take 5

How could I have forgotten to complete the most important “A Day in the Life” post?? We are enjoying Aviana to the fullest and want to share our day with you :o) We wake up.... We read.... We make sure everything is going according to schedule.... We eat five square meals a day.... We make sure to take our medication three times daily.... We get a good workout with the best therapy dog in town.... We always make time for kisses.... We love to hold hands/paws.... We make sure to do therapy later in the afternoon.... We love on Daddy.... We make sure to save plenty of love for Lamby.... Sometimes we read the paper.... The paper can be boring and make me very sleepy.... Night Night....

  2. Beautiful! Did you paint her room? Sooo cute!

I love the photos with the dog. Dogs are so smart and so know what is going on. We had a dog trained to help my son (then the guy I was living with took her with him when I kicked him out)>>>>Dogs are Great therapy. They had my Brian out of bed after back surgery when the dogs visited the hospital.

  3. Jen, I love this post!!!! I'm sure you must be so relieved to have her home, no more treks to the hospital. I'm sure it's still difficult, I can't begin to imagine, but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers throghout the day.

  4. Avi looks so comfortable with her Daddy and Kama. Since she got home, her eyes seem to be smiling. I can't wait to hold that little chunky monkey again. :)

  6. Those pics w/ Kama are amazing; she must get so much of sense of 'home' w/ the walls, her schedule, your constant love and support, the cuddling she gets from all of you makes my heart sing.

I did read your latest post and woot to finding the information; I do feel angry that the hospitals don't learn these things, but that is kind of useless---you learned it, you will continue to and it sounds like the institute is a great next avenue for Aviana and for you and Dave.

    hugs, prayers and support :)

  7. I'm catching up on a few of your posts and my heart is so filled with emotion. I am a dog lover through and through. I have had Daphne for 14 years - she is so important to me and our dog Luna joined us last March. They are so wonderful with our kids and so I truly believe in the power of Kama to help comfort, motivate and heal Aviana. The pictures are so moving. Dogs are used for all kinds of human therapy and how nice for Avi to have such a strong bond with Kama that continues and it is obvious that Avi knows who Kama is and to me, that means a lot.

I'm glad you have found the Institute in Philly. You are so pro-active and hands on that I know you and Dave are the best to lead her rehab.

Much love. (Maya loved looking the pictures with me just now)
