Trina

Through my blog I have met some of the most amazing people. Early on, I noticed someone in particular. This person and her mother were constantly commenting. We became fast friends and when we have needed each other, we have been in contact.

Her name is Cameo and for those of you who look through the comments, you may have seen her time and again. Her dear sister Trina was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and through her blog, I have been riding on their own personal rollercoaster. While our situations are different, they are the same in many ways. The bottom line is pain is pain, hurt is hurt and ache is ache, however you slice it.

Yesterday was an exceptionally horrible day for Cameo and her close family. My heart goes out to them. I have always been awful at knowing the right thing to say to someone going through something traumatic. With what happened to our family, I have gotten a tiny bit better, but still I cannot for the life of me come up with anything especially comforting to say. Sometimes there is just nothing. Through my own experience though, I realize that something is better than nothing at all. So, I want them to know that even if I don't have the right words to say, I am thinking of them non-stop and sending all of my love their way.

Cameo's blog is~

if you want to stop by and send some much needed love and support their way.

  1. Hi Jen, I am one of Cameo's bestest friends and have been a silent reader of your blog since I saw it on Cameo's sidebar. What you said about Cameo and her family is wonderful and so true! I get so excited when I check your blog and see updated pictures and status on your beautiful daughter.

It is a blessing how the 'blogging world' has brought so many amazing people together!!

  5. Sometimes it seems that there are no words to say to make someone's heart ache less...and that's when prayers can step in.

Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers...
