My uncle and aunt just crossed over the magical 400 mile mark of their 500 mile walk. They have been sending us pictures and updates all along the way. They have both climbed and walked down some steep and rough terrains. They've travelled through rain, snow, heavy winds, and also through every degree and kind of mud. They are certainly some of the most amazing, determined and inspiring people I have ever known!

That's the same aunt that broke her ankle so badly a few years ago, right? She's amazing....they're amazing!

YES Dixie!! That IS the same aunt that busted her ankle, and we were pushing her side by side in a wheelchair down the street with Avi!!
DeleteSo amazing!!
No doubt they are incredible. Do they have some kind of blog or other means that I can follow the trip, or will that come later? I would love to follow along if its possible. I love "following" amazing people, like your family :o)

Hi Cindy ~
DeleteYou are so sweet, thank you! They unfortunately don't have a blog, and they are in the very last stages of their trek or I would have asked him if he could add you to his email chain : ) Over the weekend they completed 3 of their longest consecutive days walking which was 19, 19, and 21 miles. They are going to slow a little now, as they are trying to arrive at their destination of SANTIAGO tomorrow for a formal festival!!
I'm thinking I should ask my uncle if he would be interested in writing a guest post and maybe include some of his favorite pictures from the trip once he is home and settled : ) Nothing stops them!! It's truly unbelievable!
Wow, I cannot wait to hear all about it when we see you guys next Friday!
ReplyDelete: ) Can't wait : )
