I try to have Aviana take a nap everyday so she is refreshed and ready for her second session of therapy. She no longer likes to take long naps and will only take little cat naps here and there.
Today she didn't want to nap at all and was crying from her crib. What to do....what to do.... I placed her in our bed and called Kama up. Aviana immediately was at ease. I hopped in the shower and once finished, was greeted with this beautiful sight.
It doesn't get any better!

So beautiful. Kama has her back. All the way through this journey. Nothing like a faithful doggie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sight!
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is something to be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to all of you!!
Janet (and Jeff, too)
I have been following your story from Ontario, Canada. First off, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to tell you how much I love seeing the photos of Kama and Aviana, they always bring tears to my eyes. I trained 5 service dogs for an organization that provides dogs to children with Autism, I know full well the miracles that dogs participate in everyday and do so unselfishly! The love of a dog is one that is something that I know I could not live without, and it is so awesome to see that Aviana loves her dog in such a huge way. Blessings to all of you for allowing Kama to be such a part of your daughters recovery. This allows Kama the opportunity to give every ounce of love that she has in her body to all of you-whether it be you(Avi's Mama & Daddy) getting unconditional love and companionship from her or times when Aviana needs her best friend to comfort her in trying times or times she just needs a buddy. So many people would have put a dog on the back burner in these situations, I commend you all and look forward to watching Aviana continue to progress with Kama by her side! Keep up the great work!
Beautiful picture and what a great dog & companion for Aviana. Aviana is absolutely beautiful and you have so much to be thankful for this year. My family will continue to pray for Aviana & your family. Aviana is a blessing, miracle & fighter.
