  3. I find this so damn funny! I think I might be a little cray cray right now. I just got back to the states, I had to fly back later because I had been sick and couldn't fly until my ears healed. I have had the worst JET LAG of my entire life. No Christmas presents had been bought, no food in the house, no tree, exterminater had to be called ( traps) can't even type the word for four legged house guests. Apparently the mice WILL play if you are away! Four of my children were flying in from three different places and every piece of bedding needed to be washed. I should have slapped a bow on the tree, threw money at the kids, bought frozen TV dinners, sang "joy to the world" and gone to bed. Ummmm, NO, that's not how I roll, but, I need to! I might have if I had seen your post earlier. The night I saw your post I had gone to bed delirious and hungry, so I took a bag of Reese's cups to bed with me (don't judge ). Of course I woke up in the middle of the night because of my jet lag. Well......I had some how fallen asleep while chowing on the Reese's and found that one of them had melted onto my face and dried. Gross! Not pretty! I then opened your blog and what did I behold? I laughed till it hurt, still laughing. If only I had simplified! Love, love , love this post! Your house wins, hands down the most awesome ginger bread house EVER!

    1. I laughed till it hurt too! My neighbor forwarded that email to me, and I couldn't stop. My favorite part..."write me if you want the recipe."

OH my GOSH Donna! I can't believe what you wrote. It sounds more like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles! I'm so sorry, but I hope it all ended well.

Your Reese's (you know Aviana got her middle name (Reese) partially from Dave's favorite candy right? ; ) story reminded me of when my friend Amy and I were in high school. When we were grounded, which wasn't very often because our parents were cool like that, we were never grounded from each other. So I was over her house and we decided to sleep on her deck under the stars because we weren't allowed to leave the house. After her mom went to bed, we went through and raided the liquor cabinet. We found some peach tree schnapps, I can't remember what else, and some Sugar Smacks cereal (you know the one with the big, happy bear on the front) We drank, ate, laughed, and then fell asleep. The next morning we woke up with those sticky suckers everywhere. On our arms, legs, faces! It was funny.

I'm sorry about your travel, but I guess that's what we have to do right, laugh where we can? ; )

Love you and wishing all of you a Happy New Year!
